Telescope Dome Cover – ISRO Udaipur Observatory
SCHAFBOCK DESIGN + WORKSHOP had the unique honor of designing and executing a tensile telescope dome cover for ISRO’s Udaipur Solar Observatory – one of Asia’s leading space research facilities.
The structure was engineered to meet the exacting standards of astrophysical precision, ensuring optimal light control, durability under extreme conditions, and seamless movement integration.
This project stands as a testament to SBDW’s ability to merge architectural lightness with aerospace-grade functionality — a synergy of tensile technology and scientific vision.
