This installation creates an open, welcoming atmosphere while maintaining structural integrity under variable outdoor conditions.
Engineering the Cable Net Structure
Unlike conventional heavy steel truss systems, an engineered cable net structure relies on high-tensile prestressed wire ropes. These cables efficiently distribute structural loads across rigid perimeter anchor points. Because tension and curvature balance each other continuously, the system achieves maximum load-bearing capacity with minimal raw materials.
Furthermore, our engineering team custom-machined every clamp, node plate, and tensioning clevis. These components accommodate thermal expansion and wind-induced oscillations. The design strictly complies with international tensile structural codes, including tensile cable structure guidelines. As a result, the canopy remains stable during heavy monsoon downpours and peak ambient summer temperatures.

The lightweight assembly transforms the mall concourse into a functional public landmark through several key design choices:
- Slender Visual Profile: Thin stainless steel wire ropes replace bulky structural columns. Consequently, visitors experience clear sightlines and abundant natural daylight.
- Prestressed Rigging Accuracy: The team calibrated each cable tension individually. As a result, the net system deflects minimally under heavy local wind loads.
- Corrosion-Resistant Hardware: We fabricated all turnbuckles, swaged terminals, and anchor plates from Grade 316 stainless steel. Thus, the installation withstands environmental weathering and requires minimal scheduled maintenance.
- Contextual Integration: The geometric layout unifies adjoining storefronts and frames pedestrian circulation routes naturally.
